Scrooby was a railway station on the Great Northern Railway running between Retford and Doncaster. The station served the small village of Scrooby and was near Bawtry railway station but was used until cuts in 1931, thereafter during World War II due to a major depot in the village. The area is also famous for the water troughs on the line. == Present day == The station survives today as a house right next to the East Coast Main Line.
